Welcome to Project OSCAR
Community Service Society Zambia
We hope you enjoy the slide show on this page, which possibly say more than words can do. They were taken at our time of preparation and show different stages of our Projects.
We are proud of our beneficiaries as they are always keen to say good bye to poverty and preventable diseases, make them history to learn from.
OSCAR Projects are designed to lead people on a path for a better future. Beneficiaries are using what is locally available. They take ownership of the Projects and we discuss what is needed, what is affordable at the time and how to get it.
Our first line beneficiaries are orphans and their grandparents, who look after and take care of them; people living with or are affected by disability; peasant and small-sale farmers. All Projects are gender and age balanced. Certainly the young people have to have their part in the projects to learn new skills to improve family income, but also, they will be the future leaders in their own facet.
Through the projects they can learn how to apply their academic education in daily life, how to put their talents and ideas into action. They learn that making mistakes and go through failures can teach them how to reach their goals. Giving up is not an option.
